Tank with steam coil

Normand and Thomson were requested to replace an old vessel which was no longer fit for service. The new vessel is stainless steel, 40m3 and has a built-in 2” steam coil that was approximately 45m long.

The challenge was to remove the old vessel through the roof of our clients building , remove the existing agitator and re-furbish before installing in the new vessel and install then install the new vessel and associated pipework while minimising production downtime.

N&T have carried out this type of work numerous times and with the correct planning and preparation the job ran without a hitch.
