Normand and Thomson has a 70-year legacy of working with heat transfer equipment carrying out manufacture, repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of heat exchangers and coolers for all types of industry. The work can be carried out at our facility in Fife, Scotland or on our customers sites around the UK.

We carry out site surveys to establish the condition of the equipment, this can include pressure testing and NDT including eddy current testing. We will be able to remove or disassemble your equipment and carry out any work required to get you back up and running.

 Upgrade of materials complete with full certification in line with PED requirements

Tube bundle and tube plate extraction and replacement

Tube plugging

 Gasket face machining

 Re-manufacture, re-tubing, re-gasketing

Any type of repair or replacement to the shell or tube plates

Shot blasting and painting

 Chemical cleaning and passivation

Full installation service including risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans

We also secure third-party verification, certification, stage and final inspection requirements via recognised authorities including Lloyd’s Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV etc

Normand and Thomson provides full project management support to its clients seeing your project through the full inspection and manufacturing phase to installation and recommissioning.
